Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) is located in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, and was founded in 1920, boasting a history of over a century. It is one of the first universities in China to be included in the “211 Project” and “985 Project,” and is recognized as one of the earliest engineering schools in the country, often referred to as the "Cradle of Engineers." The school motto is "Strict standards, excellence in skills." HIT is particularly renowned for its strengths in engineering disciplines, especially in mechanical engineering, aerospace, civil engineering, materials science, and computer science. Over its century-long history, HIT has developed a number of key national projects and nurtured a large number of outstanding talents, making significant contributions to the People's Republic of China.
